FAQ
Choosing the best beauty products
What facial moisturizer is best for dry skin?
Look for a cream — not a gel — built around ceramides, squalane and a humectant such as glycerin, and skip added fragrance if your skin also stings easily. At Daphie the Dewy Barrier Cream is the dry-skin pick: three ceramides plus squalane in a fragrance-free base that seals in water overnight. For very dry or winter skin, layer the Rich Night Cream on top as the last step.
How do you apply facial moisturizer?
Cleanse, then apply while skin is still slightly damp — damp skin holds the hydration you are sealing in. Warm a pea to almond-sized amount between your fingertips, press it over the face in upward strokes rather than rubbing, and take it down over the neck. Serums go on before moisturizer, oils and SPF after. Morning and night is enough; more product does not mean more hydration.
What are the best beauty products to start with?
Three steps cover almost everyone: a gentle cleanser, one targeted serum for your main concern, and a moisturizer matched to your skin type. Add sunscreen in the morning. Once that base is consistent for a few weeks, you can add a treatment such as a peptide serum or a body oil.
What order should I apply skincare products in?
Thinnest to thickest: cleanser, then water-light serum, then moisturizer, then oil or balm. In the morning finish with sunscreen; at night finish with your richest cream. Wait roughly thirty seconds between layers so each one settles.
How do I know which new beauty products are worth trying?
Check the concern it targets, the active ingredient and its position in the formula, and whether the texture suits your skin type. Our Just Arrived and Best of Daphie pages list the concern, key ingredients and net weight on every card so you can compare before you buy, and Skin Advisor narrows the list to your own skin type in a few questions.
How long before a new moisturizer or serum shows results?
Hydration is immediate — skin looks plumper the same day. Brightness from vitamin C usually shows in four to six weeks, and smoothing from peptides or retinol alternatives takes eight to twelve weeks of consistent nightly use. Give any new product a full cycle before judging it.
